In maths we have been looking at 3D shapes and their nets (the shapes that made them) and how many vertices and faces they have i have learnt how to work out what each shapes net is. I can draw now draw heaps of 3D shapes and label them. My favourite shape is an octogonal prysm because of its shape
In maths groups we have been learning 24 hour time and how it works here I have made a table for you

In 24 hour time we have been making tv programs and looking at them. Also we have been converting 24 hour time to 12 hour time. My facourite thing to do in 24 hour time was to make a time table for T.V. and learning times tables (which I needed to improve on. HEAPS!!!) and now I know alot more about 24 hour time and I hope you learnt something!

GRAPHS AND DATA
ghraphs and data means all these different types of graphs. below I have a picture of my favourite grhaph, a line graph
Some other things that we have been learning are that there are four different graphing statistics (its a mouthful) the four statistics are mode medium mean range and they all have a different meaning. the mode is the most frequent number, the range is the smallest to largest in a number set. the median is the middle number and the mean is the average number.
lately in maths groups we have been doing our times tables and mutiplication sums we have been doing division and I learnt heaps l have learnt that i can do my nines with my fingers and i can now do heaps of my nines really fast
ANGLES 20/11/09
for the last two weeks in maths groups we have been doing angles and we have learnt the the diffrerent angles and a full turn is 360 deegrees
